Island Peak Climbing is popular among climbers because of its beauty, which looks like the island of ice on the elevated region ringed by Himalayas.  Fascinating and great climbing peak in the center of Khumbu Himalayas, Island Peak soars as high as 6,189m.

Outline itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day in Kathmandu (Altitude: 1,300m/4,264 ft)
Day 02: Fly Kathmandu to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft) & trek to Phakding (Altitude: Lukla: 2,800m/9,186ft Phakding: 2,652m/8,700ft; Trek: 3-4 hrs)
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft; Trek: 5-6 hrs)
Day 04: Excursion trip around Namche for Acclimatization (Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft)
Day 05: Trek to Tyangboche (Altitude: 3870m/12385 ft; Trek: 5/6 hrs)
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche (Altitude: 4410m/14464ft; Trek: 5/6 hrs)
Day 07: Excursion trip around Dingboche for Acclimatization (Altitude: 4410m/14464ft)
Day 08: Trek to Chhukung (Altitude: 4750m/15583ft; Trek: 4/5 hrs)
Day 09: Trek to Island Peak Base Camp (Altitude: 5,200m/17,060ft; Trek: 3/4 hrs)
Day 10: Island Peak High Camp (Altitude: 5,600m/18,372ft; Trek: 3/4 hrs)
Day 11: Island Peak Summit (6,189m/20,305ft) & Return to Chhukung (Altitude: Peak: 6,189m/20,305ft. Trek: 8/9 hrs)
Day 12: Trek back to Namche (Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft, Trek: 6/7 hrs)
Day 13: Trek to Lukla (Altitude: 2,800m/9,186ft; Trek: 5/6 hrs)
Day 14: Fly back to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1,300m/4,264 ft. Flight: 35 minutes)
Day 15: Depart from Kathmandu
