Solo Travel / DIY / 3 Countries / 30k Budget!

Be responsible for converting the currency.
I used Philippine Peso for PHP
     Singaporian Dollar for SGD
     Malaysian Ringgit for MYR

So before anything else I did a lot of research for this trip because it's my first ever out of the country solo trip and it's not just one country but three. 🙈
To start with you already know that I always book my flight ahead of time so I didn't include in the 30k budget the airfare. I don't know why I always get lucky with the seat sales. I got my Manila - Singapore Ticket for only 899 php and Kuala Lumpur - Manila 1500 php via Cebu Pacific. FYI I booked a lot of Dipolog - Manila Round trip when Cebu Pac had a huge seat sale ( 999 php round trip ) so I used one round trip in this venture.

What I love about NAIA is no terminal fee!!! You only need to pay for the travel tax which is 1620 php unlike in Mactan Cebu International Airport there's an additional terminal fee of 850 php so yes when I saw Cebu Pac's round trip seat sale from Dipolog - Manila for just 999 php I booked 4 trips with no plans where to go or what to do I just booked it because hello?!!! It's so cheap! Haha!

So as stated on my previous blogs, I already traveled to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hongkong & Macau so there's no way immigration will stop me from boarding. So no more chika2 got the stamp and I proceeded to my boarding gate. Also my flight was so early it was 12 am as I remember 😴

and so, Hello Changi International Airport, Hola Singapore 🇸🇬 first country ✔️ 2 stamps ( Ph exit stamp, SG arrival stamp )

First things first! When I arrived in Changi I bought a tourist sim card, I purchased it in advance from Klook & got it for 348 php good for 1 week with unlimited data! Then I went to Jewel 💎 to see this amazing view ( photo above ) I landed in terminal 4 so I took the airport bus connecting to T3, T2 T1 & Jewel.

Then, inside the airport there's a train 🚆 conmected to the different areas of Singapore so the hostel that I booked from Agoda is in Little India so I just followed the directions and got out in Rochor Station ( it's walking distance from Rochor and far from Little India Station )

Tips: I don't change my Philippine Money to any currency before I travel. What I always do is inform my bank that I will be in these countries for these specific days & they activate my debit card. PS I don't have a credit card. So when I arrived to any destination I withdraw all the money that I needed for that specific country since I already did my research and more or less budgeted everything. 😉 I'm good at sticking into my budget.

also take a picture of the railway ( the map of the different train stops ) it will help you a lot to navigate.

Purchase the 3 day unlimited pass for the train 30 SGD with 10SGD deposit. you'll get the deposit when you return the card to any kiosk. You'll save a lot and less hassle.

Food: I budgeted 300-500 php per meal that's for lunch and dinner since I booked hostels with free breakfast. Especially in Singapore meals are expensive. You can save when you arrive in Malaysia.

Day 1:

if you claim to be a traveler walking is not an issue. 😉 Unless you can afford Grab why not. if you go by train you will still walk going to the destinations because it's a little bit far from the exits so why not just walk alone!

I selected the Petronas Petrol Station Drop off because it's the closest to my hostel. Then again since I got my baggage, I booked Grab 🚘  from Petronas Petrol Station going to The Bed KLCC. Fare: 10-15 MYR

I've been staying in hostels for my travels and so far the hostel where I stayed in KL is the best!!! Super clean, spacious and relaxing with super affordable price!!!
