The stress on local businesses is really only just beginning in our new COVID-19 world, and the restaurant/small bar scene is going to take a massive hit, the effects of which will be felt for a long time.

You can still help and support them though, with heaps of formerly dine-in restaurants shifting to takeaway, grab-and-go and in some cases delivery options. So this weekend if you’re struggling to scratch together something from the supermarket, or just want to treat yourself to something special and take your mind off the world for a nice, delicious meal, why not give one of these guys a go.

Authentic Bites Dumpling House



You’d be hard-pressed to find a more-loved dumpling spot in Perth than Authentic Bites, and now you can recreate their flavours (as authentically as possible) with a new frozen pack menu (check it HERE). Their usual menu is also available to takeaway, give ’em a call on 0423 310 599.

BAAN BAAN

BAAN BAAN have just launched a “Ready to Eat Thai Home Foods Delivery, From Our Place to Yours” menu, perfect for dinner tonight or to keep in the freezer for later. The meals are packed sets of dish + rice or dish + noodles, and will be full to brim of home-cooked Thai goodness. Head to their WEBSITE for the menu and relevant info.

Benny’s Fremantle

Benny’s in Freo now offer pickup or delivery, with 20% off all menu items. There’s a minimum of $40 for delivery, but they’ll go just about anywhere around the Fremantle area. And if you’re light on produce, they’ve got an epic selection of grocery items you can grab – check it out HERE.

Bivouac Canteen



Bivouac in Northbridge have launched “Bivs At Your House Or Ours”, where you can call them (92270883), pay over the phone and park out the front for a bit of grab-and-go action. Check out their special takeaway menu HERE. They’ve also just launched “BIVAROO”, which we think you can guess what it means, but HERE’S all the info.

Bread Espresso Bar



Bread Espresso Bar in Como have tweaked their menu to offer a delicious selection of Grab & Go meals to order by phone, along with great coffee of course. Brika / Filos & Yiros

If it’s delicious Greek meals you’re Brika and Filos & Yiros have you covered. Brika have a nóstimo takeaway menu available from 5pm every day (check the menu HERE), and next door at Filos & Yiros they’re also rocking takeaway and deliveries.

Canteen Pizza



Canteen Pizza are still rocking their takeaway pizza menu, 12-9.30pm Sunday-Thursday and 12-10pm Friday and Saturday – give ’em a buzz on 65 55 77 66 and you can also pick it up via their side door on Warnham Street to maintain that social distancing! Check the menu HERE.

Chicho Gelato



Chicho Gelato have just launched phone orders for you to takeaway their 1L and 2L packs, because we’re still gonna need tasty sweets, right? Menu HERE.

Dining Akashi

As of March 19 Applecross Japanese standout Dining Akashi are offering a new takeaway menu, and have shifted to à la carte dining at dinner to shorten dining times. Head HERE for more info.

El Grotto



The Scarborough-based masters of Mexican are now doing food and booze takeaway. Fried chicken burgers, fish tacos and more all available to order via their easy-to-use online system at ELGROTTO.COM.

Fin’s Seafood



The Hammy Hill heroes have launched a fresh-as-heck delivery menu (SIGN UP HERE), supplying restaurant-quality seafood right to your door. All contactless and under stringent hygiene practices, help keep the WA fisher’s industry alive and well.

Francoforte Spaghetti Bar

If you’ve got a hankering for some pasta-fuelled goodness (or just sick of seeing the empty shelves at the supermarket), Francoforte have shifted to pickups an deliveries only. You can find them on Uber Eats, or send them a text on 0475 511 955 to order pickup!

Gami Chicken & Beer

Gami’s new Home Comfort menu offering will bring you warm fried chicken fuzzies in these difficult times. Even better they’re offering six free wings with each comfort pack, and free chips for orders over $20. Available on most delivery apps.

Good Things



The very good things at Mossie Park’s Good Things have shifted to a full takeaway menu. They’ve also launched a special hot meal delivery service, only $10 each and over-70s get free delivery (just $3 if you’re younger).

Grabs

If you’ve been missing your shell fish hit, Grabs in Mount Lawley are rocking a delicious menu featuring lobsters, yabbies, marron, crawfish and more to with some tasty Vietnamese cuisine. Hoodburger Inglewood



Sadly Hoodburger’s Northbridge joint has shut down for the time being, but their Inglewood store lives on. You can text or call your order through on 0401 899 590 for contactless delivery, check out their stacked menu via INSTAGRAM.

Il Lido

Cottesloe pasta kings Il Lido have launched DALLA NOSTA CASA ALLA TUA, which means “from our house to yours.” Give them a call on 9286 1111 to order (menu HERE), and you can pick it up via their side door on Forrest Street.

Ischia Restaurant



Ischia Restaurant in Highgate have most of their expansive Italian offerings available for pickup (20%) or free delivery through their APP/WEBSITE. Huge pizzas, perfect pastas and some incredible specials await!
