You all know that Ladakh is a high altitude region where breathing problems, headaches are common problems. It happens because being situated at 18,875 ft, people like you and I are not used to living in a high altitude environment. Thus, you need to ensure you allow at least 3-4 days to acclimatize yourself before you step outside to explore Ladakh valleys, treks.
But there are certain other important things you must carry while travelling to Leh Ladakh. Check out the things which will help you ease your Ladakh journey, whether you are travelling on a bike or public transport :
Proper Clothes: Take proper clothes with yourself, keeping in mind that Ladakh's weather is unpredictable. Nights are cold even in summers and days in winters are super chilly. But as I said, whether it is unpredictable in Ladakh, you must carry your winter jacket in summers for the nights. And in winters, you must take proper winter clothing.
Body Care Products: Keep a good SPF enriched sunscreen with you on your Ladakh trip because the sun in summers in Ladakh can burn your skin and thus, the result is tanning.
Sunglasses: Protect your eyes also because, at such a high altitude region like Ladakh, the UV Rays can damage your eyesight or could produce a negative impact. It's better to take precaution.
Take photography gears with you if you are shutterbug because you can't come back home without spotting the Snow Leopards in their wilderness.
Medicines for headache, vomiting, stomach pain, cold and cough should be in your first aid kit.
Carry cash with yourself throughout the Ladakh trip because not all ATM's in Ladakh work. Most of them are short of cash.
On a Leh Ladakh road trip, keeping extra fuel with you followed with all the basic accessories is a must.
I hope this clarifies your doubts about the basic things to carry on a Leh Ladakh trip.
