Tonic & Ginger
Set within the impressive surrounds of the Old Synagogue, Tonic & Ginger’s food has a lot of competition. There’s the spectacle of the fit out – that vast atrium, filled with glowing lanterns, or even the draw of three other venues also housed in the same building, each more pumping than the last. Luckily, it can more than hold its own. Asian-inspired, dishes include a mushroom and daikon cake served with chilli vinegar, barbecue king prawns with nam jim, or beef rib rendang – with heaps of sharing options for a table of pals to graze on.
The Bonsai Restaurant
For large group dining and great Japanese The Bonsai on Roe Street is an absolute winner. Their variety-over-quantity contemporary Izakayas-style dining is perfect for big groups who want to share and try lots of things together.
We can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon than soaking up the sunshine and good vibes in La Cabaña’s courtyard. Taco in one hand, cocktail in the other, pooch by our side… bliss. From refreshing ceviche tostadas and charred Shark Bay tiger prawns, to corn “tentacles”, the roasted veggies or those hand crushed potatoes… and we haven’t even got to the star of the show, the tacos. With most of the menu dairy, gluten and nut-free, plus with heaps of vegan options as well, it’s the perfect spot for a big group of mates.
Rambla On Swan
Offering some of the best dinner views you’ll find around Perth, Rambla On Swan on the South Perth foreshore also just happens to be one of the best group dining experiences in town. Understandably gets very busy, but when it comes to group dining sometimes that buzz of happy patrons is all part of the experience. The seafood-focused menu is an absolute delight as well.
