The meadows change texture, form, and colour as you progress along the trail, but they remain with you until you reach Bhrigu Lake. This is what distinguishes the journey. It's a rare opportunity to trek across such alpine meadows the whole way.
This four-day trek provides a thorough overview of what Himalayan treks have to offer, including meadows, glacial lakes, and mountain views. Even though it is a short hike, it climbs to a challenging altitude of 14,000 feet, giving you the thrill of a climb. It's a perfect trek for beginners or families looking to explore the wilderness, thanks to its easy access from Manali. For Hindus, the Bhrigu Lake is a sacred lake; according to legend, Hindu Rishi Bhrigu used to meditate here, and the lake's water is also holy. The Bhrigu is 14,100 feet above sea level and lies east of the Rohtang Pass. During the winter, when the lake freezes, a thin white layer of snow forms over the surface, creating a glistering effect. On the first day, you will be welcomed at our hostel, Moustache Manali, and will feel the warmth of the place. Check into your dorm room, which will be shared with the other trekkers and travellers. Enjoy yourself by immersing yourself in the hostel community and exploring the grounds. You can also go out and go cafe hopping; the Old Manali market has a lot of nice cafes where you can sample the German bakery and other delicacies. Return to the hostel in the late evening and savour the hot meals served before retiring for the night, as the real adventure begins the next day. On day 2, you begin your trek from Kluang to Moridugh; the path to this lake is rocky and passes through dense forest; the last leg, a few kilometres from the lake, the trail ascends; since this is a high altitude lake, you should take care to capture the white surroundings, play with snow, and record as many memories as possible. . Manali, at an elevation of 6,700 feet and with the river Beas flowing by its side, is the starting point for many treks, tours, and adventure activities. On the first day, you'll be invited to Old Manali, which is said to be the perfect place to get away from the Manali crowds. The hospitality offered here is often enjoyed by those who are young at heart. The vibe and energy of this place is completely different, as is the river Manalsu, which flows through it and meets the Beas river.
The Bhrigu Lake trek needs a moderate level of fitness and has been known to be a relaxing trek with plenty to see and do.
