Seasonal Brewing Co. fills the hole in our heart we didn’t even know we had. Beer, sunshine, good food… if that’s not what Perth is about, I don’t know what is. Occupying a hundred-year-old building that was once a mechanic’s garage, Seasonal manages to balance the casual, neighbourhood spirit with a commitment to quality.
Noggos Kitchen & Coffee
Noggos might just have Maylands’ brunch game on lock. Venture away from the hustle and bustle of Guildford Road, and you’ll find Noggos tucked away in a small row of shops on Peninsula Road. French toast and fried chicken, cookies and cream waffles? Smashed avo on rye? Whether you’re hoping for a decadent weekend brunch or a light brekkie after your walk along the river, Noggos has got you sorted.
We could talk for days about Perth’s pizza offerings, but almost every time, we’ll end up back at Rossonero. Tucked away in Mayland’s Lyric Lane, the garage-turned-pizzeria balances classical simplicity with crowd-pleasing modernity. We’re a sucker for the sweet ‘n spicy Honey Boy, but traditionalists may go for the Ol’ School. With the ultimate welcoming vibes, and the newfound home base of 2021’s most talked about conti roll, Rossonero certainly has a lot to offer.
Next door neighbour to Rossonero, Lyric Lane is the highly anticipated, years-in-the- making, all-day, cafe-bar-music venue hybrid we’ve all been waiting for. Burger breakfasts on the weekend, basement gigs in the evenings – you couldn’t ask for more.
Step back in time as you settle into one of Swallow’s booths – repurposed from 1920s train seats. This cosy European style bar is as charming as its vintage Parisian decor, with a small- bar-slash-bistro menu that’s absolutely fitting to its setting. Steak frites, a gruyère omelette… with each course, you might find yourself speaking more and more French. Ooh la la.
