With the ever growing availability of guest houses in the Maldives there has never been a better time to organise your dream holiday.

There are plenty of guest houses to check out depending on what type of holiday you are looking for.

At last you don’t need millions of dollars to visit the Maldives but you can still enjoy every bit of the pure bliss, dream location with white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and one of the best destinations for hospitality. Anyone I have ever come across on my visits has always been so helpful and accommodating.

The guest houses are of extremely high standards; this is due to many of the guest house owners coming from a 5 star back ground from working on one of the private resorts. This means the standards are high and the customer service is excellent.

Another thing I love is when you stay on the one of the guest houses you are giving directly back to the local community. When you buy something in the local shop, you are giving directly back to the local people. For this I love visiting the local islands and meeting the local people.

The guest house rooms are usually en-suite and fully air conditioned.  Most prices are for two people including breakfast. Plus many guest houses are offering lunch and dinner also, which is a wonderful way to experience real local cuisine and believe me it is not to be missed.

On the local islands there are cool cafes and local restaurants where you can try other food. My advice is not to have the European options as they are usually rather disappointing. But for me when I am away from home, I love to try local food. Makes no sense to me to try European food in the Maldives!! But that’s a personal preference.

Fresh fruits are of abundance which is one of my favourite parts of the holiday. With the daily temperature hitting 30 degrees plus and 70% humidity, eating loads is not on my agenda. So the fresh, juicy fruit helps give me the boost I need.

So can you afford to Go to the Maldives? Hell yeah you can now!
