Best Trekking Season
It depends on traveler choice, autumn (september-december) and spring (march-may) are the best seasons for Gosaikunda Trek. In these seasons, you get clear blue and all the surrounding mountains, equally attractive with flowers, fauna and full of greenery landscape. Magnolia, Rhododendron and other flowers on the way help to add beauty to this trek. However, during monsoon and winter is equally challenging for trekking even you experienced or just a beginner. Walking along with the trials covered with snow or slippery trail full of mud both are unpleasant.

Accommodation
Accommodation is available in simple to medium level lodges not like Kathmandu city. But they provide basic facilities like a bed with; blankets, a pillow etc. Some of the hotels have rooms with attached bathrooms with hot showers but commonly they have sharing bathrooms.

During your entire trek, local hotels and teahouses will be there within a few distances and they will provide food on the way. Basically Dal Baht Nepali typical food they provide everywhere. In tourist standard hotel and teahouses provide other food like western foods, Asian foods, continental foods as well.

Altitude
Langtang gosaikunda lake trek is not a risk to travel according to high altitude sickness or Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). The maximum height is 4,380m/14,632ft of gosaikunda that is the highest place for accommodation. Gosaikunda trek is higher than the Langtang valley trek.

Day 03: Trek Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa/Chandanbari(3,330 m): 3-4 hours

Day 04: Trek Shin Gompa to Gosaikunda (4,380m/14,632ft): 5-6 hours

Day 05: Trek Gosaikunda to Ghopte (3,430m/11,286ft): 6-8 hours

Day 06: Trek Ghopte to Melamchigaon (2,530m/8,399ft): 6-7 hours

Day 07: Trek Melamchigaon to Tarkeghyang (2,600m/8,497ft): 5-6 hours

Day 08: Trek Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (2,590m/8,563ft): 3-5 hours

Day 09: Trek to Melamchi Bazaar and drive to Kathmandu: 3-4 hours trek, 2 hours drive
