In need of some of the luck of the Irish? Pop into one of our favourite Irish pubs around Perth, and a Guinness or two will cure what ails you.
JB O’Reilly‘s is a rambunctious little spot to enjoy the craic with mates and a Guinness (or three). We love the family-run pub’s warm neighbourhood vibes, live music, and their legendary Sunday roast is a stretchy-pants-required extravaganza.
We’ve found it: the perfect excuse for an early knock off this Friday arvo – sinking a pint on the balcony of Durty Nelly’s. Obviously you’re going to get a Guinness (or perhaps a Kilkenny if you’re feeling adventurous), but they’ve also got a selection of Irish whiskey to wash it all down quite nicely. Accompanied by some of those curry chips or some bangers and mash? Now that’s a way to start the weekend.
Owned and run by chefs, Fibber McGee’s takes pub grub to the next level, with just about everything made in-house – from their soda bread to their sauces, and even extends to owning and operating their own organic farm, Drumlane. This commitment to quality at every step has resulted in them serving one of the best dry-aged steaks in Australia, as well as being a top-notch pub to pop into for a pint.
Yokine’s The Mighty Quinn is not only mighty by name, but by nature, too. With a meal deal every night of the week and heaps of space inside, it’s the perfect spot to get heaps of mates together for a laugh and a feed. They’ve got a whole menu on offer of Irish favourites that includes bacon and cabbage served alongside Colcannon mash, bangers and mash, plus some cheesy curry chips that’ll turn your day around.
