With cancer comes many other issues, including lifestyle, family, work, and more. Integrative Nurse Coaching can help you and your family deal with all the issues that come with cancer. From dealing with the side effects of certain treatments to expressing feelings and thoughts throughout your treatment. We can help you overcome these issues and deal with them on YOUR terms. We help you gain control again of your life.
Cancer coaching is like health and life coaching, the difference is it focuses on cancer patients and their families. We focus on helping patients navigate all the different challenges that come with cancer. We support the patient and their family with health literacy skills, health management skills, coping skills, relationships, careers, and life balance. We provide support for physical and emotional challenges. We have unique knowledge about local practitioners that assist cancer patients to help with, mastectomy clothing suppliers, alternative therapies, and specialized fitness professionals to name a few. Having a cancer coach can help you regain your self-confidence and improve your overall quality of life all while navigating your “new normal.”
A cancer diagnosis is just the start. In all life events, there is a Beginning, Middle, and End. With a cancer diagnosis, the beginning is the actual diagnosis. This is a very confusing time! Where do you start? What questions are you going to ask? What treatments are you going to seek out? This is where we come in, we help you figure out what your options are, and what you really want to do. We help you make the right choices for you. Our patient-focused process puts you in control and helps you gain your life back. It helps you and your family work together as a team in YOUR best interests.
The middle is where you have made your treatment decisions. This can entail chemo, radiation, diet, no treatment, or other options. We are here with you through this process. We help you find what you want and deal with the outcomes. We help with nausea, exercise, and alternative treatments. Side effects of treatments. We have the knowledge to help you make the right choices for you and your family.
The end is well the end. You are told you are cancer free, but this does not mean it will not come back. Or you end up passing away. We truly hope you win your battle, and it does not come back. We hope we can celebrate many years of you being cancer free. But we are here for you and your family either way. We have been on this journey with many of our patients and we are here for you and your family.
