Perhaps we’re biased (okay, we’re obviously biased), but Perth has a pretty incredible small and wine bar scene. In fact, this was only going to be a fairly short list, but we just kept going and going… and going! We’re sure you’ve visited a few, but hopefully there’s a couple of new ones to discover below:
Mummucc’s sparse layout, friendly atmosphere and elegantly simple menu all set the scene for you to really indulge in your love of wine. Their wine list is extensive yet curated – and the all-knowing staff are always happy to thoughtfully guide you. Bring your tasting cap!
An impressive blend of Italian dining infused with the spirit of fresh WA produce, Lalla Rookh‘s head chef Alexandra Haynes has you covered on the eats front. And when it comes to wines, Sommelier Jeremy Prus stocks an award-winning offering of only the finest Italian and Australia offerings.
The Heritage Wine Bar
Another sophisticated CBD delight, The Heritage Wine Bar has over 100 wines by the glass for you to work through, featuring winemakers local, national and international. You’ll need a bite to eat to help you along the way, and Chef Gord Kahle’s offering will satisfy tastebuds both refined and unassuming.
Another Perth Is OK pleasure, it’s hard to resist the South Freo sun combined with the Madalena’s staff’s relaxed vibe. Don’t mistake the casual vibe for a lack of knowledge however; they know their wines, and will find you the exact right drop you’re looking for to go with their delicious seafood offerings.
Wines Of While
We do dither on about Wines Of While a lot, and the fact it’s basically impossible to find a seat an hour after they open every day is testament to its popularity. Known for impeccably-sourced natty wines
