We may not even be in summer yet, but one way to improve the mood in these often gloomy end-of-spring times is to start planning your upcoming summer of fun and sunshine! And the best way to really get excited about summer’s potential is to organise a weekend getaway with the gang or a loved one, preferably by the beach. We’ve done a bit of digging and found some places that still have some availabilities over summer, so dive in below.
From cheapest to most expensive…
Ecostays (South Greenough)
Ecostays is a remote eco-holiday destination in South Greenough, 25 minutes south of Geraldton. There are three cottages on the property, all with ocean views and basic amenities. Dogs are welcome if they’re well behaved, can cope with no fencing and love the beach!
RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort (Shark Bay)
Situated on the Western Australian coastline within the beautiful shores of Shark Bay, RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort offers beachfront accommodation. Shark Bay is home to one of the world’s best-known dolphin encounters. Guests can enjoy the free dolphin interaction sessions held daily, take a kayak along the bay or relax on a sunset catamaran cruise.
Eco Beach Resort (Broome Region)
Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat (Eco Beach Resort) is located just over an hour’s drive south of Broome in the heart of Yardoogarra, set amidst the pristine coastline of Cape Villaret. The accommodation includes 25 Eco Villas interlinked by over 1km of elevated recycled boardwalks, and 30 safari style Tents. For larger groups they also offer The Beach Houses, striking ocean front accommodation with amazing views of the Indian Ocean.
Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort (Exmouth)
Boasting ocean or marina views from your private balcony, Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort overlooks Exmouth’s stunning Sunrise Beach and offers an infinity pool, restaurant and bar. Guests have direct access to Ningaloo Reef.
