7D6N HK – Macau Trip

August 20 – 26, 2017

RT Fare via Cebu Pacific with 20kilos baggage HK-MNL: P3090/head

Accommodation: AMR Guesthouse, 6F Mirador Mansions – P5037.5

FYIs:

We also tried to cover everything para hindi na kami babalik.
First time namin isama yung 12y/o naming anak for him to try what it feels like to do a DIY trip. He’s used to a comfy and well-planned trip at hindi bina-budget yung food.
Ocean Park, Disneyland, The Peak Tram and Ngong Pin 360 are all bought online via Klook! Prices will be written below.
Mahal ang properties sa Hong Kong, hence the guesthouse and hotels rates. 10HKD for 1 liter. 13HKD if malamig. Sa restaurants, they only serve HOT DRINKING WATER.
HAHA Nag grab kami from COD to Terminal 3. P70 lang, apat na kami!
Expenses will be itemized below. Walang labis, walang kulang.
We opted to rent an Octopus Card because, one, they have 3% rebate on fares if you use Octopus card vs single journey. Two, no need to queue for single journey tickets. Three, you can also use them at restaurants and fast food chains.
Day 1: MNL – HK

Day before our flight, hotel booking from Booking.com got cancelled. Alam ko na upon arrival at HK Immigration (or sa HK arrival card) may question ng address in HK, panic mode ako. What I did, pinrint ko pa rin yung old booking confirmation para lang may proof kami na may accommodation kami. And we opted to look for cheaper place as soon as we arrive. Mas mura kasi talaga if you walk in.
8:20PM – Flight departed on time.
9:45PM – Arrived at HKIA 5 minutes early.
10:15PM – Rode bus A33 going to East Tsim Sha Tsui.
11:00PM – Dinner at McDonald’s near Austin Road. 9 blocks away from Mirador Mansion.

Walked and explored Nathan Road at night.

11:30PM – Arrived at Mirador Mansions.
We asked if they have available rooms for 4 persons. So binigay niya sa amin yung 2 rooms for 600HKD/night. Ok lang kasi the next day, pwede naman kami lumipat if hindi okay yung room. We just need a place to rest for the night.

12:30AM – Settled at AMR Guesthouse.
Day 2: Macau

9:00AM – We told the owner of AMR Guesthouse that we will be checking out because we found cheaper rates. So naka save kami ng 500HKD for 5 nights.
11:00AM – East TST to Shuen Wan
11:30AM – Redeemed our Cotai Jets tickets and got the 2:00PM schedule going to Macau.
12:00PM to 1:30PM – Explored the mall and tambay at Starbucks. Yung dalawa naming kasama are students, one is taking masterals and the other one is a HS student who opted to do take home assignments so he can join the trip.   He took his Kumon worksheets with him too!
1:30PM – went to ferry immigration. Ang haba ng pila mga friends! Late kami natapos pero tinanong naming dun, pwede naman daw basta nasa immigration ka na before your scheduled departure.
2:30PM – ayun na nga bes, late kami nakaalis kasi maraming tao! 3PM na!
4:00PM – arrived at Macau immigration.
Libre sila lahat.   Sa Wynn bus kami sumakay kasi sila yung pinaka maagang aalis.
4:30PM – naglakad na kami from Wynn to St. Paul’s Ruins. Paakyat dun, napakaraming free taste. Ikaw na lang ang mamimili at tatanggi.
8:00PM – dinner at Boa Mesa (Portuguese Restaurant)
11:00PM – departure from Macau to HK.
12:00AM – Arrival at HK port.
1:30AM – arrived at Mirador Mansions.

Day 3: Ngong Pin 360 and Lantau Island

10:00AM – Breakfast
10:30AM – East TST to Tung Chung Station
11:30AM – arrived at Tung Chung Station. Nagtingin tingin muna kami sa Central Mall Outlets. Maraming mura! Maraming pwedeng bilhin! Pambili lang talaga problema.
12:30PM – pumila na kami to redeem our Ngong Pin 360 tickets via Klook.
2:00PM – arrived at Lantau Island. Explored the temple, hiked up the Buddha.
5:00PM – rode bus going to Tung Chung.
5:30PM – did a little grocery shopping at Central Mall. Coffee, tinapay, cup noodles at yung usong usong 2x spicy na noodles pang pasalubong.
6:00PM – Tung Chung Station to East TST.
7:00PM – Dinner
8:00PM – Went to Ocean Terminal to watch A Symphony of Lights.
9:00PM – went back to our guesthouse
Ayun nga nga, bali-balita na signal number 8 kinabukasan. Sa HK, safety first kaya pag signal no. 8, ang available na mode of transportation lang eh MTR. Sarado lahat ng pwede mong puntahan except malls. Sadly, sarado din ang Ocean Park. Schedule sana naming yung Wednesday kasi konti lang tao midweek. Para ma-enjoy naming lahat ng rides. Pero we were told to stay indoors na nga lang kasi though hindi malakas ulan ng bagyo nila, matindi naman ang ihip ng hangin.

Day 4: House Arrest

Woke up late.

1:00PM – bought McDo to go kasi sila lang ang bukas that time.
Lumabas kami. Since we are near the museums, we tried our luck if they are open. Libre mga museums nila pag Wednesdays! Kaso sarado lahat.
Sinubukasn naming ulit pumunta sa Ocean Terminal if mag sshow yung A Symphony of Lights. Ayun, jackpot! Konti lang tao kasi lahat nagstay talaga indoors. Maganda naman siya, worth it kahit papano. Libre lang naman kaya go na!
9:00PM – went back to our rooms para makapahinga ng maaga para sa Ocean Park kinabukasan.
Day 5: Ocean Park

9:00AM – breakfast at our rooms.
9:30AM – East TST to Ocean Park Station
10:30AM – Arrived at Ocean Park 30 minutes after the gates open. Ang haba agad ng pila sa ticketing! Good thing we bought our tickets from Klook! We printed the vouchers and the barcode was scanned at the turnstiles then derecho pasok na agad. BIlis di ba?!
12:30PM – lunch sa walang kamatayang McDo!
8:00PM – watched Symbio at Waterfront.
8:30PM – Ocean Park Station to East TST
9:00PM – Dinner at Café de Coral
10:30PM – lights out

Day 6: Disneyland

9:00AM – breakfast. Pareho ng kahapon.
9:30AM – East TST to Disneyland
10:30AM – Arrived at Disneyland!
1:00PM – lunch! Ginto ang pagkain sa loob! Ranging from 100-200HKD. Sumugal na kami sa 150HKD para siguradong busog.
9:00PM – Fireworks!!! Second time na naming to sa Disneyland pero first time naming makapanood ng parade at fireworks. Maulan kasi nung unang punta namin.
10:30PM – dinner at Café de Coral. Bes, pang constru ang kanin nila dito! Kaya sulit kahit bumayad ka ng 50HKD! Inaraw araw na nga namin eh.
11:30PM – guesthouse na. Pagod, tulala, nanginginig mga legs at hita. Pagod pero sulit!
12:00AM – empake na mga kaibigan. Kailangan naming magayos na ng gamit kasi 11AM ang check out, may imi-meet kami at 11:45 for lunch, 3PM and schedule ng The Peak Tram tour at 9:20 flight namin pabalik ng Manila.
Day 7:

9:00AM – breakfast. Ubusin na ang mga supplies bes! Yung tira, pwede ring pang pasalubong.
10:30AM – check out.
12:00 – 2:00PM – lunch with my Chinese relatives. Libre nila mga bes! Sarap. LOL!
Which I don’t see the point. Ayun! Di na naming sila Nakita after.
Mahangin, mainit at nakakapagod. Pero sulit!
5:30PM – queued for tram going back to Central station.
6:30PM – waited for bus from Central going to airport terminal 1. A11 or A12 bus yung dadaan sa terminal 1.
7:00 – arrived at airport terminal 1.
Finest Chuvachoochoo talaga!
1:45AM – Arrived at Terminal 3.
