Manila To Laguna 6/2010

Well, this was our very first trip together that was longer than an overnight stay lol. It was memorable but I didn't have much to write about it on my Facebook album description.  And I am not a good article writer. I just write based on my experiences but I not articulate or let's say I don't have the skill or ability to have a flowery language.  So this will be very very short. Please bear with me. :)

I'm very sorry if I look like I didn't have enough sleep because I actually did and if I look like a boy haha! It's because I was so tired of the long commute, the weather plus my small amount of makeup melted in the heat.

Out short vacation included a short stay in Manila then Laguna then back to Manila again.
These are the activities we've done and where the hell we've been.

Day 1: Arrived in Manila and we went to SM North Edsa/Trinoma - Eat lunch at Racks, played in an arcade Timezone and watch movies, Prince of Persia/Killers

Day 2: Took a bus and traveled to Los Banos, Laguna - We stayed in a resort for 2 nights, Splash Mountain, while we go around Laguna and we were able to visit Calamba, Laguna where the Rizal Shrine can be found.  We planned to hike Mt. Makiling but we were not able to because of the strong rain. SO we decided to stay in that afternoon and lounge/swim at the pool.

Day 3: We took a jeepney ride to Sta. Cruz, Laguna then another jeepney ride to Pagsanjan, Laguna. We rented a narrow wooden boat going to Pagsanjan Falls. The tour guide or people who maneuvered the boat are local people and were very strong to lift and pull the boat going against the current, up the rocky river while we were just seated and just told us one time to get off the boat. That was the one time that they had a difficult time carrying the boat on a narrow rocky part of the river.  I think it was low tide then why the water was shallow. But it rained the day before so maybe it was just like that, plus the water was muddy.  When we got to the falls, it was okay but the best part was when we were taken under the strong falls leading into the shallow cave behind the veil. The water can drown people haha and can massage you very hard.  After our back and forth boat trip of about 3 hours we changed our clothes and headed to Aling Taleng's Halo-halo, just on the other side of the boat rental.

After our snack, we took another jeepney ride going to Nagcarlan, Laguna where the Underground cemetery is located.  I always that is was going to be a big cemetery and scary but it was small and normal but it was nice and peaceful.  We went back to the resort after.

Day 4: Go back to Manila for another overnight stay before heading home the next day.
