Bohol Travel Guide:

📍Bohol, Philippines

My friends and I decided to go for a 3days and 2nights trip to Bohol to relax and discover what Bohol can offer for us.So this travel guide and tips will provide you insights about where to go, what to do, budget tips and a lot more! This will also help you if you're a first time traveler.

How to get there:

By Plane✈️:
From Manila or Cebu

🔘Fly to Tagbilaran(Capital City of Bohol) via Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and AirAsia.

By Ferryâ›´:

🔘Bohol has also many ferries connecting to other ports like Cebu, Dumaguete and Siquijor via Ocean Jet, 2GO and Lite Ferries.

Starting Point: Bacolod City

1.Head to Ceres South terminal bound to Dumaguete.Travel time approximately 6hours.
Fare:P380 one way(Air Con)

2.Once you arrived in Dumaguete head to Dumaguete port near boulevard and book for a ferry ride via Ocean Jet going Tagbilaran.Travel time approximately 2hours.
Fare:P700 one way(Economy)

Ocean Jet Daily Schedule

Dumaguete to Tagbilaran

Tagbilaran to Dumaguete

3.Most travelers get to Alona or Dumaluan in Panglao where most beach accommodation is located.Travel time approximately 1hour.To get there you have 3 options .

🔘Hire a taxi. This is the most convenient way but also most expensive.
🔘Hire a tricycle.This is what we chose 'coz we're on a budget😆.Fare is P300 for the 4 of us.
🔘Go on a van.Share with other travelers and use your haggling skills😉.

Where to stay🏚:

There are a lot of accommodation to stay in Panglao to choose, from Luxury hotels, hostels, inns and even B&B(Bed and Breakfast). So we ended in D' Backpackers' Barn and booed for their dorm type room good for 4persons. We stayed there for 2nights and we only paid P4000(P1000 each) this is a B&B accommodation. (Yay! for free breakfast!)

You can also book your accommodation using my link below to get a 10% refund after your stay😉👌🏻

Where to eat🍽:

There are a lot of restaurants and food stalls around the beach. You can choose from carenderia if you're really on a tight budget but you canlso splurge in to buffet restaurants.

Tourist attraction around Bohol

You can tour around Bohol for the same 3 options above. So we still chose to hire the same tricycle
for the tour going to some famous destinations like The Man Made Forest, Tarsier Watching, Chocolate Hills Viewing Deck, Bohol Bee Farm, Loboc River Cruise, Butterfly Garden and The Blood Compact station.Because of limited time we skip the loboc river cruise, butterfly garden and blood compact so we haggled the cost of our trip and we just paid P1200(P300 each) for the tricycle ride.

Tarsier Conservation Area Fee:P60
Chocolate Hills Entrance Fee:P50
The rest are for free👌🏻
