It is where you'll find the rare puka shells in Boracay. Puka shells originally were naturally occurring bead-like objects which could be found in somebeaches. “Puka” is the Hawaiian word for “hole” and refers to the naturally occurring hole in the middle of these rounded shell fragments. HOW TO GET THERE:
-When you go island hopping, Puka Beach is one of its destinations depending also on the itinerary you choose before paying the tour itself. Cheapest price would be around 400php, which is a public tour. Some others costs 800-1000 per head with a lunch meal included.
-If you're into drinking while doing the tour itself, why not join "Frendz Resort Boat Party"? It is available during Tuesdays and Fridays. It costs 990php, with unlimited drinks. It starts around 2pm and finishes around 6pm. The tour is available for in-house guests and some outsiders.
-You can go there by land, get a tricycle/tuktuk (chartered) it costs 150-200php good for 5-6 people.
-The area itself is perfect for picture taking. (When doing some shoots, I suggest go at the far end of Puka Beach where there's less people and convenient for every pose.)
-Is there any foods available at the area? -Yes but it is expensive. I suggest before going there buy your foods already.
-What about drinks, liqours? -Yes, also expensive. Quite pricey than the normal price at the island.
-Can we use the inflatables for free? -Technically, no. The local vendors at the beach may offer you to buy drinks from them, shakes and anything available, in exchange to use the inflatable for free of charge.
-Can you suggest any particular area at the beach that's best to stay? -Yes of course, personally I always go to Toto's Bar. It's located at the very first volleyball net at the beach. That area is already good for me, it's very chill and relaxing, plus they play reggae music and house/tropical music. Feel the summer vibes! Is it safe to leave our things? -I always go by the rule of "Do not leave your valuables unattended."
