Whether you’re as Irish as they come or simply enjoy the craic, there’s more St Patrick’s Day events on in Perth than you can shake a shamrock at.
Johnny Fox’s
Make a day of it at Johnny Fox’s, starting strong with a full Irish breakfast (and Irish coffee, of course) at the Northbridge pub. There’ll be heaps of family-friendly fun throughout the day, alongside Irish dancers, silent discos, photo booths and live music performances – plus prizes for best dressed. In the evening, next door Lynott’s Lounge will come alive with some live music courtesy of Fieldsy & The Cranberries and Monty Cotton – or pull up to the new alfresco area to enjoy a Guinness or three. To find out more info and book your tickets, head to the Facebook event HERE.
Varnish on King
Where could be more suitable to enjoy St Paddies day than our favourite cosy basement whiskey bar? Head to Varnish for a whole range of Jameson specials – from a Jameson Bacon and Whiskey Flight to a Jameson and Guinness boilermaker that’ll have you feeling the luck of the Irish in no time. Specials are running from Thursday to Saturday, so you can still take advantage even if you’ve got an early meeting on Friday.
Durty Nelly’s
Taking over Shafto Lane for the day, Durty Nelly’s St Paddies celebrations will make you feel like you’re stepping into a slice of the Emerald Isle, right here in Perth. Starting bright and early with fry ups from 7am, settle in to their extended Guinness Garden for plenty of the good stuff – as well as live music, Irish dancing and plenty of giveaways. Check out their website HERE for more info and bookings.
JB O’Reillys
JB O’Reilly‘s warm neighbourhood vibes are pretty hard to resist at the best of times, but for St Patrick’s Day? We can hardly imagine being anywhere else. You can expect a day of live music and a rambunctious good time.
